babyproofing
Why does it seem like no matter what you do to babyproof your house, there is always something you missed. I'm starting to realize that short or taking every decoration out of my house, there will always be something for Cheyenne to bump into, where there's a will there's a way!
I don't know if it's because my house is so small, or her toys are so big, but my house slowly went from a representation of Jason and I's style, to the beginnings of a daycare. Gone are our end tables, replaced with a jumper and exersaucer. Gone is our entertainment center, now covered in brown bumpers (Cheyenne's new hang out now that she realized she can pull herself up!) Magazine holder and craft supplies gone, replaced with more toys...
When we picked this house, we said to everyone, "Yeah its a little on the small side, but it's a good starter house for us. And besides, we're not going to stay here long, but its big enough that if we have a baby we'll still be ok." YEAH RIGHT!
Little did we know, not having any closet space would come right back to bite us in the ass. And our tiny little living room that once seemed "Cozy" now piled with baby toys looks more like the Sesame Street cast threw up in our living room. And no matter how many times we clean, it goes right back to mess within a day. And Cheyenne isn't even able to walk yet!! Man oh man, am I in for it when she can walk!

Guess who's crawling?!?
Why didn't someone call me Sunday and say "Listen, tomorrow Cheyenne is going to start crawling, so pay attention, and take in the last part of this stage in her life, because tomorrow, it's all over"
I would have loved to know what was about to happen! There were no warning signs. Sure, she was bouncing on her hands and knees, and I know that's how it starts I just didn't think it would ever really happen... I thought I had a few more weeks ahead of me! Now, Cheyenne starts another stage of "babyhood" and while its really depressing that my tiny little baby is growing up, it's really exciting to see her get so excited about moving. I'm so proud of her!
I just got done babyproofing our entertainment center because she was hitting her head while rolling over to the tv... now I've got a whole new kind of babyproofing to do...
why does it go so fast??!?!?!
